Why I will never put my coupon binder on the floor!!!
I HATE SPIDERS!!!!!!!!! Always have, always will!
Here is the scenario:
I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business. I had a coupon that I was going to put away so I picked up my binder off the floor (yes, I bring my binder to work everyday!) and when I was unzipping it, an ENORMOUS spider crawled onto the top of it. I jumped from my chair and started screaming! (Did I tell you I HATE spiders?) A couple of guys were coming down the hall and came to my rescue.(Thanks John and Aaron) One of them took my binder outside and let him loose. (I wish he would have smashed it!!) I thought I was going to come out of my skin. I have never seen a spider so big! I wish I had the guts to go find him and take a picture so you guys could see how big he is, but I just don't!! My wonderful husband (who works here with me), came out of his office a few minutes later and asked what all the commotion was about. He knows all to well about my love for those 8-legged creatures. I don't mind small ones but ones the size of a golf ball, that is another story!
I am calling the bug guy to come spray!!!! YUK!!! My skin is still crawling!!

Back to school!
Well, the girls started school today. I can't believe summer is over. It flew by!
There were mixed emotions at our house this morning. Ryan, who is normally reluctant for new things, was ready to start 6th grade and go see all her friends. She had her clothes all picked out last night and was ready to go. Daddy took Ryan to school this morning. (Her bus gets to the house at 7am so she can sleep in if Daddy takes her). He said they had a good talk about getting lost at school and what she should do if that happens. She was not nervous at all so I know her first day of middle school will be great. I can not believe I have a child in middle school! She has grown up all too fast.
Devyn was excited but kept saying she did not want to start school. She wants a few more weeks of summer. (Me too Dev) She is good to go with the flow, so I know her day will be filled with excitement and fun. She is a big time 2nd grader and looked so cute in her new clothes. She is missing her 2 front teeth and looks so grown up. She has changed a lot since last year. What a difference a year makes.
It is raining today so I had to take pictures in the house. Hopefully I can get some good ones this afternoon when the girls get home.
I love you girls!! Hope you have a great day and wonderful year.(Wipe tear from eye)

Unadvertised Deal at CVS and milk!
I was at CVS on Saturday and found an unadvertised deal. They have CVS 10 ct tampons for $1.89 and you get $1.89 ECB's back. Limit 1 per Extra Care Card but what a great find. Also, the milk in on sale for $2.69 and you get $1 ECB. It said limit 1 but when I got my receipt, they gave me $1 ECB for both gallons of milk. I also had two .75 off 1 gallon coupons and paid with ECB's so I felt like I struck gold!! I printed the milk coupon from the Borden web site.

New Babies and Birthday Party!
I have been quite busy the last couple of days. We have had several friends have babies this week and my oldest daughter's 12th birthday party was Friday night.
Here are a few burp clothes I made for baby Dax. He is so cute and cuddly!!
Congratulations Wes and Lyndi!
I am also proud of the cake I made for Ryan's party. She came up with the design all herself. I was worried about making the pineapple look somewhat real. I am very pleased how it turned out. Thought I would show you guys.
Now we are waiting for my parents, sister and niece and nephew to make it here for a cook out and another party. It will be great to see them and spend the afternoon together.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and I will get you guys some deal up tomorrow. In the mean time, go cut your coupons and look through those sale papers!!

Leadership Summit
Today was another day of great speakers at the Leadership Summit. The morning started off with Dave Gibbons. He talked about "Third Culture Leadership". He was engaging and was the perfect person to start the day. The next guy was Andrew Rugasira. He spoke about "Aid vs Trade' in Africa. What an amazing man. He has changed Africa by helping the people start their own business. He really inspired a call to action. Before lunch, Wess Stafford, the President and CEO of Compassion International, gave the most emotional talk of the day. He explained everything that happened to him as a missionary child in South Africa and how it lead him to reach out to the children there. He is an amazing man and shows that God can take something that Satan means for evil, and turn it into something for the good of God's kingdom.
After lunch, our Pastor, Craig Groeschel, interviewed Chip and Dan Heath. They are brothers and have written the new book "Switch'. They were great and really made you think.
We also saw an interview Bill Hybels taped with Bono. He was amazing and is doing great things to end the poverty in Africa. What an inspiring human being.
The day ended with Tony Blair who of course, was interesting.
I am so blessed to have been able to attend and know I will be remembering things from the last two days for many weeks to come.
It was a wonderful 2 days!
