Hello wonderful blog readers! Here are the coupon match ups for Homeland this week. My friend at CouponPrincess has a complete list and when Christi gets hers up I will post them also.

We are starting our big 3 day staff event today so I will not be around much. Christi at Christi's 2 Cents and I are teaching a coupon class tomorrow at the event. We are really excited! I will post this weekend and let you know who everything went.

Free Wildlife Expo

This is the weekend for the big Wildlife Expo at Lazy E arena in Guthrie, Ok. The Wildlife Expo is Oklahoma's largest outdoor recreation event and it is totally FREE. It starts today and goes through Sunday. The hours are 8am-6pm daily. There are a ton of hands-on activities including fishing, fly-tying lessons, dog training, shooting range, mountain biking, rock climbing, and even build a bird house to take home.

Make-A-Wish night at Cold Stone Creamery

Don't forget tomorrow night, September 24th from 5-8pm Cold Stone Creamery will host the 8th Annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social. Make a donation to Make-A-Wish and in return for your donation, you will be treated to a free 3oz serving of Jack's Creation.

Jack is a 5 year old boy from New York who designed this year's creation. It is Sweet Cream ice cream mixed with brownies and rainbow sprinkles and topped with caramel.

Come support a great cause!

My New Shoes

I wanted to share my great deal! Look at my cute shoes! I got them for $9.90!! (no tax, no shipping) A friend at work twittered last week about some new shoes she got. I thought they were so cute I immediately ordered my self a pair. I got them today and LOVE them!! I immediately opened them and put them on like I did when I was little in the shoe store. They are so cute and way comfortable! The best part is they are make out of natural materials and recycled items. Mine or made out of hemp and the soles are made from recycled tires. I can't tell you how much I love them. I am thinking about ordering some more in the other colors and they also have flip-flops that I am going to order.

We Remember

Take some time today and remember those who died and pray for the families who were affected by the tragic loss. I remember that day so well. I just could not believe what I was seeing on the news. The days and months that passed changed our lives forever. Our country has overcome so much in the 8 years that have gone by.

Please pray for all the soldiers overseas fighting for our freedom and keeping this from happeing again.

Coupon Inserts

Sharpen those scissors! There will be 5, (yes I said 5), inserts this weekend! I love it when they make up for no inserts the week before. There will be 3 Smart Source, and 2 Red Plum inserts. Now remember, not all regions will get the same inserts and may not have the same coupons but we should get lots to add to our binders!!

I can't wait to get my paper this weekend. This would also be a great weekend to buy an extra paper.

Make a Wish Ice Cream Social

I have been a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, for over a year now and love working with kids and their families on making their wishes come true. I am blessed more by working with the kids than anything I have ever done.

No Coupons this Weekend

It is a holiday weekend so there will be no coupon inserts. (Wipe that tear from your eye!) I know it is sad but take this time to visit with family and go through your stash for expired coupons.

I wanted to tell you guys about my amazing deal at Homeland. I am so excited.

We are having lots of family over this weekend for Labor Day. Travis decided to smoke a pork shoulder and make pulled pork sandwiches. I made my list, gathered all my coupons and off I went. Because of the coupons I had, I knew if all went well, I should get a really good deal.

Here is how it all went down.

4 lb pork shoulder(I wanted a bigger one but this was the last one) $8.40

used $6 off The Other White Meat when you buy 13.5 lb Kingford charcoal and one of the following products. (Don't remember what they all were) KC masterpiece barbeque sauce was one of them. = $2.40 (Wait, there's more, keep reading)

Kingford matchligh charcoal $9.99

used $2 off Kingsford charcoal = $7.99

2 packages Kraft sliced cheese $1.59 each= $3.18

Remember the pork shoulder I got for $2.40? They took the $2 off Fresh Meat coupon off my pork shoulder so now, the pork only cost me $.40!!!! Wow!! I can't believe I just got a 4 lb pork shoulder for $.40!

I bought 2 cans of baked beans the other day for $.99 each =$1.98

Mother-in-law bringing potato salad = FREE

Today is my Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to me!!! Today I turn 39!! I have felt so loved today. I have gotten so many birthday wishes from people here at work and all my facebook friends! Thanks for making my day so special!! My team took me to lunch and I received the roses from my dear friend (we are like sisters) Cindy. She arranged them herself. Isn't she talented? My twin sister, (some of you guys did not know that, did you?) also sent me flowers. I am blessed to have a womb mate to share this day with. Love you Donna! (sorry, I did not send you flowers)

I feel so blessed to have great friends and family who care about me. I feel very loved!! Tonight Travis and the girls are making me dinner and I may go to Hobby Lobby to spend some of the gift card they gave me this morning. He knows how much I love that place.

Thanks to all of you who have wished me a Happy Birthday. It is truly happy because of all of you!!

What I did this weekend!!

I have been wanting to glaze my cabinets for a while and finally did it.

They started out as oak cabinets and looked like this.

A friend from work did her cabinets and they look amazing so I asked her to come show me how to do them. She met me at Home Depot Friday night and showed me what to get and then came over Saturday and showed me how to do it. Thanks Erica!! It was so easy!! I love the way they turned out. Even my 7 year old told me they looked like we bought them! I took that as a great compliment. She is in the picture helping to put the knobs back on.

It was not that hard, and only cost $39! It took just a little time and I have a brand new kitchen.
