We had so much fun at the National Weather Festival on Saturday. We saw lots of cool storm chaser cars, radars, and equipment, and watched as they launched a weather balloon. The girls had a great time doing the kids activities, especially the frozen cheese balls. This guy dipped them in a cup of dry ice and then was passing them out to the kids. My oldest daughter tried one and said it was strange, as smoke was coming out of her nose. It was really cool. (no pun intended!)
I also got to catch up with a good friend of mine from high school, Steve Carano, who is a meteorologist on Channel 5. The girls got pictures and autographs from all the meteorologist from Channel 5 and Devyn was even on the news! While she was getting Rick Mitchell's autograph a camera man was filming and they showed it on the 10 o'clock news. If you saw it, she was the girl in brads.
